Estimated read time 2 min read

During this time period that is different from any other era in modern times, a period when the whole world all at one time takes a pause. The Covid19 crisis has brought the world into a total slow down in the day to day lives of every human being in the civilized world. Even though deaths from other reasons have always occurred, the Covid19 pandemic deaths, highlighted every day by the news media has reminded people that they are mortal. Being reminded of this, people are re-examining their priorities and are searching for the “why” for the Covid19 pandemic. Some believe it is a revelation from God about the sinful condition of man and a call to repentance.

In this interview with Scott Hahn, on the John Henry Western show, Scott Hahn gives some insight on the Covid19 crisis through the eyes of a Christian worldview. Here is the interview for you to watch below:

What do you think? Is disease a punishment from God?
Does suffering come from one’s own sin?
Does any good come from something that causes suffering?

Saint Thomas Aquinas asserts," Your soul is worth more than all of the created universe!" You have dignity because you are created in the image of God. I believe Saint Thomas Aquinas's statement. Being a Christian does not mean you will not have problems in life, or that you will not feel lost sometimes. God does not remove all our obstacles but He is there to carry us over and through them to reach the finish line. I hope to share things here that will help you to discover, develop and grow your relationship with God.
